Last Thursday I made:
Gingerbread Biscotti Recipe! YUM!
And I want to tell you that I did every step and followed the directions carefully.
See?
Flour.
Lotsa great spices!
Flour and spices.
I don't use molasses too often. <3 molasses. even the word molasses.
separate 2 of the eggs.
1 whole egg and 2 yolks.
mixie-mix.
put wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
put in pecans.
mixie-mix.
separate into 2 pieces (she said), so I did and rolled it out on greased cookie sheets. (I think this is the problem. I think if I'd left it as one piece and rolled it out it would have been FINE! But I followed the directions, because -- WHO KNEW?!)
I left it in the oven for only part of the baking time and look how burned the edges got! :( WASTE OF MY TIME!
Actually, I broke off the black parts and salvaged the rest. Frustrating to destroy half of what you make... But. The hubs and daughter love it with with their coffee. :) Which is why I made it. Oh, I put some melted white chocolate chips on it...
~~~
Fast forward to tonight:
I made Cinnamon Roll Cake. I did not photograph every step. I took a picture only of the end result. And you know what -- I'll bet this one turned out wonderfully. It's obviously not BURNT to a CRISP!
(Yes, my pan is OLD. It's from my Tupperware selling days. Caleb was one. A LONG time ago.)
Oh, wow - these look so yummy! You're making me hungry... ;)
