~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SO many of my earliest memories include my Grandma and Grandpa.
They were a part of the molding of "me".
They were my playmates, my part-time care-givers, my encouragers.
They filled my life with acceptance and encouragement.
Their constant fervor and enjoyment of me instilled in me a
strong knowledge of unconditional love and confidence.
My Grandpa passed away in October of 2002.
I still miss him.
One of my most special possessions is a letter I received from him.
Some of my most special memories are of the times he and I
"cut diddle-daddles", rode on the tractor, counted the cows, etc.
We lost my Grandma yesterday.
I miss her, even though my life had taken me far away.
Visits with her had become few and far between.
I'll always miss her.
I will always be thankful for the wonderful grandmother she was to me.
Some of my most special possessions are photos she gave me.
Some of my most special memories are of her caring for me --
making me "apple butter sandwiches",
cutting & peeling apples for me just to try to get me to eat a healthy snack,
putting me down for my naps and so much more.
I love you, Grandma. I'm so glad I got to tell you that the day you passed on.
